Font Pro is an excellent stack (built by Andrew Tavernor, even though the stack is marketed by Joe Workman). What this stack does, does the best. However, Font Pro is limited to 8 instances of fonts and styles. That's why Font Pro will remain my general font manager and Source's Custom Fonts will be used only to supplement the former, when needed. Whenever I will need to add some other fonts, I will use Source's own Custom Fonts manager. All examples below are managed by Font Pro.
* h1 Page Title size is controlled by Source's default (not by Font Pro Style).
* All headers are always rendered in 'bold' weight – default setting in Source.
* All styles on this page are 'Font Pro Styles' – no Source's default styles.
* On this page, I don't use any partials, because I will have to rebuild them from scratch – in tune with new Source defaults, Font Pro styles and CONTAINER margins/paddings.
In this sample there's no shadow, which was assigned only to 'h1' Page Title. There's only extra-bold weight. There is no italic style and it can't even be "machine-generated" (true 'display' font).
Changa Light has 'regular' weight assigned as 'bold', but there is no italic style. I can still mark text as 'italic', but this style is only "machine-generated", not a true italic. Headers h2-h6 are renderd in regular weight.
The default (Source) font has both 'regular' and 'bold' weights as well as 'italic' style. Bold italic style is machine-generated, since Source does not allow for including this weight/style combination (I wonder, why?).
The Noto Sans font has both 'regular' and 'bold' weights as well as 'regular_italic' and 'bold_italic' styles.
The Noto Serif font has both 'regular' and 'bold' weights as well as 'regular_italic' and 'bold_italic' styles.
The Foro Rounded Light font has both 'light' and 'medium' weights as well as 'light_italic' and 'medium_italic' styles.
The Foro Rounded Medium font has both 'medium' and 'bold' weights as well as 'medium_italic' and 'bold_italic' styles.
The Tenso font has both 'regular' and 'bold' weights as well as 'regular_italic' and 'bold_italic' styles.
The Tenso Slab font has both 'regular' and 'bold' weights as well as 'regular_italic' and 'bold_italic' styles.
This Style makes Foro Light/Medium text lighter and so it's suitable for rendering on white/light bckgnd.
