I am sharing the following instructions for new participants who may have doubts about how to use the family portal.
Keep in mind that our portal is an ongoing experiment and that its appearance and functionality—and therefore also how it is used—may change over time. I will be updating this page as needed.

When you visit our portal for the first time, or after deleting "cookies", you will see the following message/call to action:
If you are familiar with the Internet-specific concept of "cookies", you can immediately decide whether to click the "Dismiss" button, which will give me permission to use all the cookies I need on our portal.
However, if you do not know what's it all about, click the red link, which will lead you to the PRIVACY page, where the cookies are explained in an exhaustive way. This will make it easier for you to make an important decision.

After closing the above window, a general navigation bar will remain at the top of the page (for all guests):
Website logo – regardless of which page you are on, clicking this emblem will always lead you to the main (start) page of the dlutek.com portal.
PRIVACY – a page with important information about how our website treats our guests' right to privacy.
LOGIN – You must log in to be able to use the main part of the family portal. After placing the cursor on this field of the navigation bar, you will see additional options: LOG IN, UPDATE ACCOUNT, DELETE ACCOUNT and LOG OUT. If you don't have an account yet, send me an email.
FLAGS – 3 language versions (German, Polish and English) for family members living in different countries. Clicking the selected flag changes the language version of the text. From now on, the portal will remember which language version you have chosen and which one should be displayed every time you come here.
PORTAL – for all viewers: PORTAL, HOW TO USE PORTAL, PRIVACY, WHAT'S NEW, INTERNET SECURITY and LOGIN. Links to these pages can be found at the bottom of the page you are currently viewing.
FAMILY – only for registered users. The FAMILY section consists of many subsections.
To be able to enter the FAMILY section, meant for people with an account, you must log in first. If you try to use your "bookmarks" or direct addresses of pages inside the FAMILY section before logging in, you will be automatically directed to the login page.
In addition, please note that the DOCUMENTS, GENOGRAPHY and parts of FAMILY ALBUM subsections are only available to family members. Family friends do not have access to them even if they have an account and are logged in.
One more general note on scrolling major and minor windows with a lot of content: in major windows, you can jump directly to the top when you click (or tap) the "Last update" part of a footer. In minor windows, you can use an up-arrow placed at the bottom of content.
To log in to the FAMILY section, you must use the menu in the top navigation bar. Hover over LOGIN and select the LOGIN item below it.
A window will open in which you must enter your data:
As the illustration above shows, in the first field you enter Username or email address that was used to register your account with the FAMILY.
In the second field, enter the password that I sent you when registering your account in the FAMILY.
In the third field, enter the letter-code that you see to the right of this field. This function ensures that logging in is not possible by robots.
If you want your name (or email) and password to be remembered, mark the question "Remember me?". In this case, at subsequent sessions Username and Password will be filled in automatically and you will only need to fill in the third field (letter-code). This saves a few seconds of your life, but also provides the possibility that unwanted people can log into your account without your knowledge or consent. Therefore, I do not recommend using this facility.
In case you have forgotten your Username or Password, press the word "Forgotten?". After a few seconds, check your email where you should find an email with a new password ready for use. From now on, you can use this new password, or after logging in with this new password, go to the page UPDATE ACCOUNT and change the password to the one you choose. In both cases, try not to forget.
After clicking the "LOGIN" button, you will be directed to the WHAT'S NEW? page (automatically), where you will find information about the latest changes in the portal (see below):
To see the rest of the page content, with the navigation bar visible only to logged in users
—which is intended to navigate the FAMILY section—click the arrow at the bottom of the page (or scroll down).
To update your account in the FAMILY section, you must use the menu in the top navigation bar. Hover over LOGIN and select the UPDATE ACCOUNT item below.
A window will open in which you must enter your data:
In this window you can change the password of your account that will be used to log in to the FAMILY section. You can also change the subscription status of emails received from our Family Portal.
Select the REMOVE ACCOUNT option from the top navigation bar. A window will open with two buttons:
Your name, username, email address and password will be immediately and permanently deleted after clicking the REMOVE ACCOUNT button. At the same time, a new window will open confirming that the account has been removed from our system and a final email confirming the deletion of the account will be sent to the address associated with your account.
Logging out of the session occurs in one of two ways:

After logging in, you can use your "bookmarks" or internal navigation intended only for logged-in persons, to which you have access on each page in the FAMILY section. This is an additional navigation bar located directly below the general navigation bar at the top of the page:
When you click the inner navigation bar:
For LOGGED-IN persons
a menu will open in which you can select any page in the FAMILY section. The menu is available on all pages listed in it.
In FAMILY ALBUM and SNAPSHOTS subsections, below the navigation bar for logged in persons, there is an auxiliary navigation bar that allows access to all albums/galleries contained in these two subsections.
To ALL ALBUMS
After clicking this bar, a menu window will open in which you can select individual albums (see below).
PRIVACY is one of the most important pages on this portal. There is—among other things—a cookie manager that allows you to selectively delete those cookies that you consider undesirable (see below):
In addition, it is also possible to manage "cookies" on individual pages – where the video, map or weather forecast widget is placed (see below):
